This Article Used Zero AI.
Prologue: This article is not hating on AI – We love it for many aspects of our business as well as my personal life. But just like most things, it has its place.
The last few newsletters I have written have been all my own thoughts. I transcribe what I am thinking into GPT, and it gives me a polished, concisely written article.
But I heard something last week that got me thinking. Why do so many people have a hesitation around AI? It’s not because it’s going to take our jobs or because it creates subpar images online, but it’s because of the letter ” A, ” artificial, aka not real.
For the brands we represent that truly have strong communities, those communities, at least for now, can sniff out AI and hate it.
We have looked into auto-responses for community management. This would save us countless hours a week for a task which is impossible to garner an ROI on, but at least for now we won’t do it because the human element for Community Management is one of the most important parts of a brand’s – “brand”
We use AI when it makes sense for building an authentic brand.
- Wow – reporting is so much easier and probably one of our favorite uses of AI. We add in all our monthly data, and it creates beautiful spreadsheets and helps us pick up the data especially when reporting up to an executive team.
*A caveat about reporting – The majority of our reporting is actually quite simple. We look at the best-performing content, analyze the creative and copy, track trends, and try to create content we think will reach as many potential customers as possible.
- We use it to clean up images.
- It’s a great tool to kick around ideas and help jumpstart you when you are stuck.
- One of my absolute favorite uses of AI is for sentiment analysis. We put in thousands of comments from our clients’ ads, and it sends us back trends and common questions; from there, we inform the brand’s internal customer service team as well as garner inspo for future content ideas.
You can expect all my future articles to be 100% me.
